Lemony grilled asparagus with toasted almonds
Chargrilled to smoky perfection, this zesty asparagus is a perfect accompaniment to any main meal -- or even just on it's own!
Ingredients
- 2-3 bunches of green asparagus spears
- Olive oil
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper
- Fresh lemon wedges, to serve
- Toasted, slivered or flaked almonds, to serve
Directions
- Trim the tough ends from the asparagus, then brush lightly with olive oil.
- Grill asparagus spears over medium heat for 2-3 minutes until lightly charred, but still with a bit of crunch.
- Transfer to a serving plate, sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- Scatter over the toasted almond flakes and serve with lemon wedges on the side. Best enjoyed warm!
