Vegan Cheeseburgers
This recipe can be prepared in less time than it takes to go out for fast food! It's great for kids parties, and versatile too.
Ingredients
- 4 x veggie patties (try Fry's traditional vegetarian burgers)
- 4 x fresh white bread rolls
- 4 x Tofutti American style cheese slices
- pickles
- Nuttelex or other vegetarian margarine
- tomato sauce
- American mustard
Directions
- Bake the veggie patties in the oven
- Slice and butter the rolls (if desired) with Nuttelex
- Layer the patty, cheese slice, tomato sauce, mustard and pickles onto the roll and serve immediately
Variation
Try using wholemeal rolls, and adding some salad (such as lettuce, onion, tomato) to make this less of a cheeseburger and more like a 'real' burger!
